• High-salt diet: Consuming large amounts of sodium (Na+) increases calcium excretion in the urine, making it more prone to stone formation.
• Protein-rich diet: Eating a lot of protein increases urine acidity, calcium excretion, and reduces citrate absorption, all of which can promote stone formation.
• Gastrointestinal disorders: Conditions such as stomach ulcers and diarrhea can lead to dehydration, electrolyte abnormalities, and a rise in urine oxalate, contributing to stone formation.
• Genetic factors: If a close family member has had kidney stones, your risk may be higher.
• Urinary tract infections: Bacterial breakdown of urea produces ammonium and phosphate, contributing to the formation of infection stones.

Methods for treating urinary stones at �����ƽ��

Dr. Vo Van Quy says that �����ƽ�� is fully equipped with modern facilities to treat urinary stones, employing a range of techniques, including:

• Conservative medication
• Extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) with the MODULITH SLK shock wave lithotripsy machine (Germany)
• Retrograde intrarenal lithotripsy (RIRS) using a flexible ureteroscope and laser
• Ureteroscopic lithotripsy with a rigid (SEMI-RIGID) or flexible 8.4 Fr ureteroscope (Olympus, Japan), currently the smallest available
• Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PCNL), including the less invasive Mini PCNL
• Laparoscopic (retroperitoneoscopic) or classical surgery if necessary
